"Concrete Rose" 
 
Someone told me it seems I’ve been missing travelling a whole lot during this pandemic, that it really shines through in this painting. I think she might be right! 
This was a in-between orders project that started out with just a face and I slowly added aspects to it little by little with leftover paint from other projects. It really triggers my wanderlust looking at the result. Unintentionally I think the bird might resemble the feeling of freedom, which can also be tied to the difficult times of quarantine we have been through.
